Patty was a member of the Calgary Police Service for 33 years before she retired as Inspector in 2019. She worked many different areas of the Service including patrol and the Major Crimes Section for 14 years, where detective work was a real passion for her. As a detective she worked in Child Abuse, Polygraph and Homicide. Her career continued with promotions to the ranks of Staff Sergeant and finally, Inspector. Another area of enjoyment was the Real Time Operation Centre (RTOC), which allowed Patty to engage with frontline personnel and had control over the entire city supporting and managing frontline resources.
Currently, Patty continues her involvement in community service with volunteering with the Calgary Coordinated Response to Missing Seniors, Alberta Women in Policing, Sundre Search & Rescue, the Calgary Food Bank and the Cochrane Humane Society.
